Sri Lanka Do it Yourself Tour - 7 Days / 6 Nights



Hire a vehicle with a chauffeur speaking English & travel through the country side, and all other interested places at your own pace & time. Decide for your self how many days you would like to stay in a selected location. It is simple you decide when and where you would like to be and plan out your tour on a daily basis… For this we propose the hire of a air conditioned car with a chauffeur for a maximum of three clients & the hire of a larger vehicle a micro van with air-condition for a maximum of six clients. With one of our reliable experienced chauffeurs to assist you & drive you around our Country. The hotels or the Tourist board approved guesthouses can be selected on a daily basis as per your choice. If assistance required we will be glad to help you in selecting your Accommodation too.

OUR PRICES INCLUDE:

  • * Air-conditioned Vehicles with English speaking Chauffeur

  • * Meals of the chauffeur he will take care same by himself. Accommodation if you stay at Sri Lanka Tourist board approved places there is a separate quarters provided for the chauffeurs free of charge but if there are no chauffeur accommodation provided at other places you will have to provide the chauffeur USD 05 per night for his accommodation. It is better to stay at Tourist board approved hotels or Guest Houses for your safety & comfort where there are some guarantees.

  • * The mileage will be calculated from the Airport or Colombo First Day to Last Day in Colombo or at the airport. You have the choice of getting yourself dropped at any selected location on the last day & the chauffeur will continue to Colombo. The mileage will be calculated accordingly considering the last point as Colombo.

  • * The meter will be shown to the client’s daily, morning and evening & the meter reading will have to be initialed by the client in the log sheet daily. This will avoid any confusion regarding the kilometers done during your trip. If there are any extra kilometers they will be charged at the rate of USD 00.30 cents per Kilometer for Cars. USD 00.35 cents per kilometer for Micro vans. Payments for extra kilometers to be made directly to the Chauffeur. (For example 100 Km extra for cars - USD 30 & for Micro vans - USD 35)

  • * To visit reserves jeeps will have to be hired & charges to be paid directly.(Including to Horton Plains entrance from town)
  • * The driving hours will be between 08h00 to 19h00. You can discuss with the chauffeur & adjust the timings accordingly if the vehicle is needed after 19h30.Considering some rest will be provided for the chauffeur if the next day trip is in the morning. Arrival & departure days’ vehicle can be utilized according to the flight hours any time.

  • * In the event of a break down which is very rare the chauffeur will make arrangements for your tour to be continued without any lost of time & a replacement vehicle will be provided as fast as possible maximum with in 24 hours if needed.

  • * We can arrange for your pick up at the airport if the flight details are sent to us in advance Please look for the “ACME travels ” name board, which will be clearly marked in a paging board by our representative who will be at the arrival lobby .If not you, could start your Tour from a selected location.
