Apa Villa's Talpe charm lies in its mature
coconut grove, and stunning swimming pool overlooking the
Indian Ocean, only 8 km south from historic Galle Fort in
southern SriLanka. The mood at the villas is leisurely as
you ease into swimwear or sarong. Whether with family or friends,
we minimize the fuss and children are welcome. With advanced
notice, we can arrange for a nanny. We encourage bookings
for the whole house. Bring your friends.
The style of the villas befits a gentle tropical
existence of monsoon rains, surf and splendid sunsets. All
suites are oriented to the sea. A unique elongated swimming
pool is shaded by swaying palm trees. At its beach end is
a wooden deck positioned to watch the rolling waves and spot
the occasional ship passing or a sea turtle surfacing for
air
Accommodation
Our three houses in the estate appeal differently.
Villa 1 is the main house, built in 1995, and has a large
central living room filled with books. A long terrace leads
into two suites. Here, you can have breakfast or tea or anything
you wish. Villa 2 is made up of two large suites. Each suite
has a double bed, bathroom, walk in wardrobe and a sitting
room. The verandah, colonial-style banquette and chaise longue,
faces the swimming pool and is comfortable for four persons,
or a family with children. Villa 3 consists of two splendid
units. Each suite comes with a double bedroom, a bathroom,
living room and beach-front terrace. The two suites at Villa
3 are separated by a lily pond yet can be bridged easily for
a family or party of four. The stainless steel and wood furniture
is contemporary elegant. All soft furnishings are local weaves
with attractive collectibles from other Asian countries.
Food
Our staff will serve breakfast on the terrace
at your time, any time. For your meals, you will have your
choice - Sri Lankan curries, or fresh seafood of lobsters,
tiger prawns and yellow-fin tuna cooked to recipes of the
world. Local fruits of pineapple, mango, jackfruit, atermelon
and passion fruit are simply delicious.
