If you are visiting the Island for a few days & and you would like to have a glimpse of Sri Lanka this would be the ideal tour for you.You can view the cultural highlights of Sri Lanka with a visit to some of the royal cities in the cultural triangle. The tour is ideal as you can cover important historic places in a short amount of time.

  1. Day 1 AIRPORT / PINNAWELA / KANDY

    Flight Arrival in Sri Lanka and landing at Colombo Bandaranayke International Airport.  After the completion of your Immigrations, Customs and Security procedures, please proceed to the Meeting Lobby of the arrival Terminal. Meeting with Assistance at the Lobby by our Representative, later your tour chauffeur will pick you at the Exit Gate of the arrival terminal to commence the Tour.

    You will leave to Kandy, en route visit to Pinnawela.

    The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage is one of the most popular attractions in Sri Lanka, it is 80km from northeast of Colombo. This place is popular for having the biggest herds of captive elephants in the world. Pinnawela elephant Orphanage is the home for about 85 elephants, out of which many are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being taken care, fed and trained by the wild life authorities. The best time to visit is during the feeding times, when one will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants being bottle-fed. You can also watch the elephants bathing in the nearby river in the morning and in the afternoon. This a place you will really enjoy and never forget. Started in 1972 the Elephant Orphanage was relocated to the present site in 1975.

    Later arrive in Kandy, the last Kingdom of ancient Sri Lanka and the Royal Capital with the King’s Rule until the British Invasion in 1815. This is also known as the centre of traditional arts in Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, site seeing of Kandy City, the 2nd highest tourist visiting city in Sri Lanka after Colombo; with prominent Bogambara Lake in the center which is surrounded by the city with roads and buildings planned accordingly. A famous landmark in the city is the lake, popular among people for walking leisurely or as a sport (Jogging) especially in early morning or later in the night. A complete tour around the lake with the cool breeze is relaxing and gives insight to the way of life in Kandy. In the evening you can enjoy a Cultural Dance with traditional dances from Kandyan Kingdom which have been maintained, gradually developed and now considered as a National Dance, performed at State Cultural & National Events, also among the local population at Wedding Ceremonies and other private functions. Then visit the temple of the sacred tooth relic of Buddha at the evening ceremony. The Sacred Tooth Palace Temple with the Golden Roof is the main attraction of the city and also the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka. It also has similar importance among the Buddhist World, as the Great Vatican City and St. Peters Basilica among the World Catholics.

  2. Day 2 KANDY / PERADENIYA / MATALE / POLONNARUWA

    After breakfast visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is well known for its large variety of plants. The garden is best known for its collection of orchids which is the largest in Asia.  This has been the Royal Garden among the kings historically and later developed as a Botanical Garden during the British Colonial Era. In the modern history the Garden was used as the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander of South East Asia Command during the World War II.

    Then continue towards the cultural triangle zone. En route visit a spice garden and a batik factory in Matale. The Spice Garden in Matale is called Sri Lanka’s immortal soul because it is easy to find plenty of the great scents, tastes and medicines that make Sri Lanka famous. See and learn about spices at Matale, and experience the great riches of Sri Lanka’s cuisine and traditional Ayurveda therapy

    In the afternoon, the final visit of the day will be Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa Kingdom is the second ancient capital city for three centuries, it is a site which cannot be missed in Sri Lanka with many well-preserved ruins of palaces and monasteries. Compared to Anuradhapura you can see more brick structures and monuments in addition to the stone monuments. The kings have developed and improved the Temples, Monuments, Lakes, Pagodas and the education among the priests. The Parakrama Samudra (means the Ocean of Parakrama), a large manmade lake built during rule of the King Parakrama Bahu the Great. During his regime Polonnaruwa has flourished to the highest.

  3. Day 3 SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / COLOMBO

    After breakfast leave to Colombo, on the way visit Sigiriya located in the north-central part of Sri Lanka which preserves the architectural tradition of the country. The town is famous for its historical rock fortress which is over 1000 years old and has landscaped gardens, water fountains and the sanctuary. Sigiriya gardens are the amalgamation of symmetrical and asymmetrical elements.The famous “Sigiriya Apsara or Damsels of Sigiriya ”, the frescoes of heavenly maidens or the paintings of bare-breasted women done over many centuries ago add charming art and colour to the Rock. Sigiriya has spectacular importance in Sri Lanka. Erected during the reign of King Kashyapa is an ancient palace complex, which has been declared a world heritage site by the UNESCO. Many tourists find Sigiriya as the most favourable place in Sri Lanka for a visit and to explore the rock fortress.

    Later you will stop at Dambulla In Sri Lankan history, the Dambulla cave complex dates back to 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C. Even before the making of the complex it was well established as one of the largest monasteries in Sri Lanka. The Dambulla caves have been declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The Royal Golden Rock Cave Temple is the formal name of the temple. The area is also known for bird watching,

    Then visit the fascinating city of Colombo, which links the past with the present. You will visit the Fort area – the commercial centre, and Pettah – Colombo’s bustling bazaar area and Cinnamon gardens that comprises of large residences and later on enjoy your free time in Colombo. Colombo is the Commercial Capital of Sri Lanka and the largest city. This is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins. The Colombo harbour was known to Romans, Arabs and Chinese traders over 2000 years ago. The Colombo Fort is a Portuguese established small trading post. Colombo has several performing art centres like the Lionel Wendt Theatre, the Elphinstone and the Tower Hall. The Nawaragahala is the country’s first national theatre. The world trade centre, the 40 story Twin tower complex is also important. The Independence Square in Cinnamon Gardens is also another important landmark. The St. Paul’s Church Milagiriya is one of the oldest churches in Sri Lanka. Colombo is an ideal location to start the Sri Lankan journey.

  4. Day 4 COLOMBO / AIRPORT

    Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport for departure or extend your visit with a beach stay. Check out 12h00.

  • Basic Jeep to visit reserve included for a half day – (Entrance fees to be paid directly by clients at the reserve). If for any reason the mentioned reserve is closed we shall make arrangements to visit another reserve.
Services Not Included.
  • All entrance fees as per program to be paid directly only in Sri Lankan Rupees and it will cost around USD 121 per person. Please change foreign currency in to SLRS at the airport after customs (bank counters are open 24hrs at the airport). No credit card payments are accepted at historical sites. (Entrance fees are subject to change; rates are as applicable at the moment – Children under 12 years will be charged a half rate at some places)
  • Personal spending (tips, laundry, mini bar, telephone, fax, beverages etc.)
  • The right to use video cameras at sites – most places will allow to use video cameras once the entrance fee is paid except at The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy & the Pinnawela Elephant orphanage (USD 05 per Video Camera per location).
  • Medical expenses, travel insurance, international flights.
  • Sri Lanka visa charges, USD 35 per person for NON-SAARC countries & USD 20 for SAARC countries, (please visit this site- http://www.eta.gov.lk/ ). If there is any difficulty with this process contact us via email and the necessary arrangements shall be made in 48hrs. (Payments can be done online). The passport should be submitted on the day of arrival along with a hard copy of the confirmation document and code. The passport has to be valid for six months from the day of arrival. Return air tickets & sufficient funds or reservations for the holiday should be with you. Visas for children under 12 years travelling with parents’ visas will be free on arrival.  All others have to obtain a visit visa except for Singaporean & Maldivian passport holders who will be provided with free visas on arrival.

  • All entrance fees as per program to be paid directly in Sri Lanka Rupees and it will cost around USD 121 per person. Please change foreign currency in to SLRS at the airport after customs, there are many 24hrs bank counters at the airport as all these payments have to be made only in SLRS.   • Kandy Perahara Period  for ten nights from 14th July 2021 to 23rd July 2021 or 13th August 2021 to 22th August 2021) The dates for this celebration yet have not been declared, we may have dates only around the beginning of march 2021.

  • If required we can modify the program to have the last night in a beach hotel south of Colombo or in Negombo  then proceed to the airport. Any other modifications to the program can be arranged as per individual preferences.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY –  You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of       the reservations which has to be acknowledged by our company in writing. If the cancellation is made 44 days before the first date of the reservation we will retain your 1st small deposit to cover our costs. If the cancellation is notified less than 44 days prior to the first date of reservation following additional cancellation charges will apply.
